Strategic Hire Strengthens Simtek's Global Business Development Expertise and Presence in Key European Growth Markets


COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., & DRESDEN, Germany--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Simtek Corporation (NASDAQ:SMTK - News), the inventor, pioneer, and world's leading supplier of nonvolatile static random access memory (nvSRAM) integrated circuits, today announced that Mr. Juergen Dudda has joined Simtek's European operations, based in Dresden, Germany, as Marketing Manager. Mr. Dudda's primary responsibilities will be in the areas of marketing and business development to support Simtek's growing European business.

Mr. Dudda is a veteran of the semiconductor industry with over 15 years of experience. Most recently he served as the business development manager for ZMD AG. Prior to that he was a technical marketing manager at WBC (an Avnet Company) and held several management positions during his tenure at both Motorola SPS and System Solutions. He earned a degree in physics from the University of Kaiserslautern. Mr. Dudda will report to Bernd Junghans, managing director of Simtek-GmbH and Grant Hulse, vice president of Worldwide Marketing.

Simtek-GmbH began operations in January 2006 after Simtek purchased ZMD's ongoing business in nvSRAM's. The Simtek-GmbH team, responsible for the companies' European sales and operations, has grown the business quickly. The group is headquartered in Dresden, Germany and includes European sales, marketing, customer support as well as a full product design team which works in close collaboration with Simtek's design teams in Colorado Springs, CO and San Diego, CA. Simtek GmbH's engineering team is focused on new product development and expansion of Simtek's basic product roadmap of integrated memory solutions to support long-term growth.
