Framework for a Program
Based on our experience in the representation of publicly traded companies, we have prepared an overview of an MKR investor relations program proposal. Our proposal will focus primarily on the MKR Groups activities as they pertain to the U.S. investment community but can reach an international audience as needed.
In the process of determining an optimal strategy for an MKR program, a public company should consider the following:
An Educated Shareholder Base Particularly in the case of a public company that is re-introducing itself to Wall Street or attempting to increase institutional sponsorship, a fully comprehensive and timely communications program is essential. The MKR program will result in a better-informed and supportive base of professional investors. This effort is very difficult to manage effectively in-house, due to the ever-increasing constraints on managements time.
Credibility A consistent, proactive and broad-based MKR Group effort can solidify long-term credibility. Credibility is of particular importance to a company as it embarks on an expanded investor awareness program.
Managements Responsibility With the numerous investment alternatives that are currently available to institutional and retail investors, a direct and concentrated effort must be undertaken to keep the attention of the entire financial community. The MKR Group will assist management by maintaining a proactive investor relations outreach.
National and Local Press Exposure Consistent, positive exposure in leading national and regional business publications is an extremely effective method of generating credible investment interest. National and local press exposure also will expose a company to the retail broker and individual investor; and may also increase or enhance business prospects.
The MKR program is designed to incorporate specific near and long-term objectives, with the ultimate goal of developing a continuous, sophisticated level of investment interest and sponsorship. Our approach will be comprehensive and results oriented.
