Todd KehrliTodd Kehrli, President

Todd Kehrli co-founded the MKR Group in July of 1999. He brings a unique combination of legal and investor relations experience to the MKR Group. Over the past 14 years Todd has specialized in working with micro-cap and small-cap companies providing investor relations counsel and strategy. Todd has built significant working relationships with many of the leading consumer, healthcare and technology analysts on both the buy-side and sell-side. Todd specializes in the marketing of micro-cap and small-cap companies to institutional investors.

Prior to co-founding the MKR Group, Todd acted as a Business Litigation Associate specializing in the representation of financial institutions, including complex commercial litigation and insolvency issues. Todd is an active member of the California State Bar.

Prior to practicing law, Todd worked in the San Francisco office of Morgan-Walke Associates, a nationally recognized Investor Relations firm, assisting in the handling of client accounts and corporate communications. Todd earned his Juris Doctor from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, in 1996 and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from San Diego State University.

 

Jim ByersJim Byers, Senior Vice President

Jim joined the MKR Group in December 2005 and has more than 15 years of investor relations and financial markets experience. He has provided strategic counsel and created investor relations programs generating significant tangible results for companies in a variety of industries including technology, business services, healthcare and basic industry. Prior to joining MKR, he was vice president at Financial Dynamics, Inc. (formerly Morgen-Walke Associates), a nationally recognized investor relations firm, where he served for nine years. His previous experience also includes serving as an institutional fixed income executive with Rauscher Pierce Refsnes and as a writer for Time magazine. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of California, Davis.

 

Jim ByersJoo-Hun Kim, Vice President

Joo-Hun Kim brings a unique set of skills to Investor Relations. He has spent the past 11 years as partner/lead-analyst at Emancipation Capital, a long short equity fund specializing in small to mid cap technology stocks. There he was able to build solid relationships with many other portfolio managers as well as sell-side analyst and company management. Prior to that, he spent four years on the sell-side at SG Cowen as an analyst covering software, where he was responsible for numerous recognized industry pieces. Prior to SG Cowen, he was an analyst for Orbitex Information and Telecom covering software and Internet companies after running IT for the organization. Prior to that, he spent four years at State Street where he wrote mutual fund accounting software. He holds an Honours Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Science and Economics from the University of Toronto, and an MBA for NYU’s Stern School of Business.

Mark ForneyMark Forney, Vice President

Mark Forney joined the MKR Group in April 2013. Mark brings two decades of buy-side experience to the MKR Group. During his time as a financial analyst, he had exposure to all industry groups and market caps, including micro-cap and small-cap. Prior to joining the MKR Group, Mark served as an analyst/portfolio manager at two highly successful growth stock oriented funds, Rustic Partners Hedge Fund and The New USA Mutual Fund. He also served as the IPO analyst at William O’Neil + Co., where he was part of the team that developed and supported that company’s industry-leading stock-screening products. During his career as an analyst, Mark conducted more than 1,000 one-on-ones with executives of publicly traded companies. He holds a Bachelor of Arts, double major, in English and Communication Arts (Magna Cum Laude) and a Masters of Business Administration, Finance, both from Loyola Marymount University.

Brad DaaneBrad Daane, IR Webmaster/Client Services

Brad Daane joined the MKR Group, Inc. upon its inception. Brad works on numerous accounts and is responsible for many of the day-to-day activities for MKR's clients. He controls and maintiains all of the MKR client Investor Relations websites with the most up to date information. Over the last few years, Brad has provided support for Amtech Systems, Rainmaker Systems, Socket Mobil, Smith Micro Software, Unify Corporation, to name just a few. He has relationships with both business press and the investment community. Brad is a Graduate of the California Polytechnic University.

 

Ben ShindlerBen Shindler, Controller

Ben is the company's Controller, Ben Shindler brings to the MKR Group more than 23 years experience in business management services. A certified public accountant, Ben's expertise includes financial statements, tax preparation and analysis, acquisition and divestiture analysis, profit sharing and pension planning, and financial and capital expenditure studies, among many others. Ben holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.
